This photo brings a sense of joy. It's like that first cup of coffee in the morning; a refreshing pick me up. Now the true joy of this photo lies within the symbolism. It symbolizes the natural beauty this world had to offer, beauty that we often ignore. Every man, women and child deserves this happiness, this joy, regardless of there economic back round. The technical aspect of this photo brings a brilliance and unseen talent that most photographers lack. This slight blur in the back round brings focus to the articulate mixture of colors that the flower empowers. From an artistic stand point, Erika lacks the rule of thirds. However this does not take away from the overall brilliance that this photo displays. The strong emphasis on the flower adds to the depth of the photo, while the blur adds a field of depth that leaves you begging for more. The colors are strong and vibrant and my eye was drawn to the beauty of nature. The only down fall to this photo is the lack of thirds. The flower seems to have been thrown into the photo, with no regard for placement. If the photographer were to just crop the excess vegetation on the right of the photo you would be left with a flawless and utterly perfect example of artistic brilliance that the 21st century lacks.
